North Newton, Kan. - Chad Schilling, head volleyball coach has announced that Maggie Hans, has joined the Thresher volleyball team.

Maggie comes to Bethel College from Dodge City Community College where she was a two-year starter and a captain her sophomore year.  The 5-8 Hans brings athleticism and versatility to the Threshers.  While at Dodge City CC she played on the right side, outside and defense and excelled wherever she was put on the floor.  

"Maggie is a very skilled player but what I'm most excited about and impressed with is her ability to be a leader.  Her passion for the game is infectious and she has a way of picking up her teammates so that the team is performing at its highest level."  Schilling commented.

The Conquistadors of Dodge City CC finished this past season with a 17-18 overall record and 7-7 in conference play in the always tough Jayhawk West conference.  

"I am so excited to be playing for Coach Schilling and the Threshers."  Hans said.  "The Bethel College program is always competing for championships and I hope to bring them their 19th KCAC championship next season."

Maggie began taking classes at Bethel College during interterm and is already working out with the team and preparing for the spring season.
