North Newton, Kan. - The game went down to the last possible second with the score tied 62-62 Eric Regier put back a Trey Ronnebaum miss as the horn sounded and the Bethel College Threshers finished their season with a win against Southwestern College, 64-62.

It was fitting that the lone seniors on the court had their hands on the ball as time expired.  The game was close the entire 40 minutes with neither team leading by more than 10 points.  Bethel College led 35-29 at the half.  That lead was aided by 56% shooting by the Threshers and they held Southwestern College to just 39%.

In the second half the Moundbuilders were able to outscore the Threshers 33-29 and the shooting percentages were almost reversed as Bethel shot 39% and Southwestern 50%.  But the 6 point halftime lead was too much to overcome.

Bethel College, who finishes their season 4-23, 4-14, was led in scoring by Lee Griffin with 20 points.  Trey Ronnebaum added 13 and Aaron Benton chipped in 12.  Eric Regier led in rebounding grabbing 5.

Southwestern College, who will head into the KCAC tournament the #5 seed and losing its last 7 games, were led in scoring by Tyler Shirley with 17 points and Koury Clayton with 16 and Ethan Randolph with 13.
