KANSAS CITY -  ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­The third edition of the NAIA Women's National Central Rankings came out this past Wednesday, and Bethel had one singles players and one doubles team among the nations best.  The prestigious rankings include all NAIA school's from the states of: New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas and Iowa, and rank the top 20 singles players and top 10 doubles teams. 

Sophomore Bree Honer was the lone Lady Thresher in the singles ranking topping the list at #6 in the central rankings, and #48 nationally.  The sophomore is currently 12-5 at # 1 singles this year in fall and spring matches combined.  Honer also holds a 12-5 record this season at doubles with partner Steph Shogren (SR/Hesston, Kan.), bringing Honer's combined singles/doubles season record to an impressive 24-10 on the year.  Honer is the highest ranked lady Thresher since Paige McKinney in 2009, which finished the season ranked #21 nationally.

The Bree Honer/Steph Shogren duo earned a #7 ranking in doubles as well.  The Sophomore/Senior duo currently holds a 12-5 record on the season "8-2 this spring" at #1 doubles for the Lady Thresher's.  The duo's only two losses this spring have come against Evangel University and McPherson College.

The Thresher's are currently off to a 7-3 start and are currently 4-1 in KCAC play.
