Bethany, Okla. - The men's basketball team ran into a buzz saw last night as they faced the Southern Nazarene University Crimson Storm at the Southwestern Christian University Classic and came away with a 31-77 loss.

The 16th ranked NAIA Division I Crimson Storm started out the game shooting lights out and was able to continue that shooting throughout the game finishing 55% from the field with 36% coming from beyond the arc.  Meanwhile, the Threshers who were without senior Trey Ronnebaum due to injury, managed just 20% from the field and 26% from three point land.

""SNU is very athletic and we just couldn't match up to that athleticism."  head coach Alonzo Jamison commented.

Robbie Wright and Lee Griffin led the Bethel College in scoring, each getting 8 apiece.  While Southern Nazarene (7-2, 2-1) put 4 players in double figures with Daniel White leading the way with 21 points.  The Crimson Storm will be making the jump to NCAA Division II beginning next year.

Bethel College (1-9, 1-3) doesn't have to wait long to get back on the floor as they will play the host school, Southwester Christian University, today at 5 p.m.
