KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2013 NAIA Women's Tennis All-Americans
Bethel College's Bree Honer was one of only seven freshman selected by the All-American committee. The Threshers's women's tennis team won the KCAC regular season and Conference Tournament Championships, advancing to the Nations taounament for the fifth straight year.
Players were selected by the All-America committee. The list of honorees includes 16 student-athletes on each of the first and second teams, plus 16 honorable mentions.
Auburn Montgomery (Ala.), Breanu (Ga.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) led all schools with three All-Americans apiece. Auburn Montgomery's Jade Curtis was named Marvin P. Richmond Outstanding player following Saturday's Title match, and she lead the Warhawks trio of All-Americans.
Curtis and teammate Tiffany William are the only returners from last year's first team All-Americans.
There were 11 juniors, eight sophomores, seven freshman and six seniors named to the All-American Teams.
