(Lincoln, NE)  In a big NAIA matchup, the #20 ranked women's tennis team Bethel College traveled to Lincoln, NE to face off against #24 Nebraska Wesleyan.

6- Ashley Suhr lost Jennifer Heywood 6-2, 1-6, 7-10

Coach Isaac was disappointed in the result.  "This was a disappointing weekend for us.  We competed hard as a team but the loss to NW was really tough because we know we left some opportunities out on the court.  We only have so many opportunities to play nationally ranked competition because of the area we play in and a limited budget to travel so we just don't get a lot of these chances.  That said we did have some very good individual moments.  Bree played solid at 1 all day and the win over Stivers of William Jewel should hopefully help her national profile.  Steph & Miranda had a great come from behind win against NW to stake us to a 2-1 lead in that match after Madelyn and Allie had already won convincingly at #3 doubles.  In singles we won the first set in 4 of the 6 matches but it just wasn't our day.  I am still really proud of all the women for how they competed in a tough environment."
