(Kansas City, MO)  Bethel College Freshman Bree Honer is ranked #38 in the National Women's Single  Rankings.

Honer has qualified multiple times for state in high school has a 4A State Singles Championship on her resume.  The Bethel College women's tennis team competed in the 2012 USTA/ITA Regional Championships in October where Honer advanced to the championship match losing in three sets.

Coach Isaac is very excited for Bree to begin the season, "She was the first Bethel player to play in a ITA final since 2009 when former All-American Paige McKinney won.  Bree has all of the qualities to win this tournament in the future and I know this will motivate her to come back stronger next year."

The Threshers Women's Tennis team will face a strong schedule this year playing Nationally ranked teams including Oklahoma Baptist and Nebraska Wesleyan.  The future looks bright for the Threshers with Honer and three other strong freshmen in Shayla Roath, Jill Siebert and Erin Doerkson.
