Young had a career day for the Threshers, as he did everything in his power to keep Bethel in the game against the undefeated Swedes. His 12 total tackles led all defenders for both teams (nine of these were solo stops), as did his three huge interceptions which ties the single-game school record. His 56 return yards on these picks gave Bethel great field position, as did his 60-yard fumble recovery late in the 4th quarter, setting up the comeback attempt for the Bethel offense. Young's three interceptions this season rank as the 3rd most in the NAIA.

Bethel travels to McPherson on September 30th, when they take on the McPherson College Bulldogs at 7:00 PM.
