WICHITA, Kan. - The 2017 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Media Day sponsored by IMA, Inc. and Dissinger Reed will be held Thursday, August 3 at the Hotel at Old Town in downtown Wichita. The event will start with a luncheon at 11 a.m. for head coaches and members of the media. Head coaches will then take the podium starting at 11:30 a.m.
Featured highlights of the annual media day include the press conference with presentations and insights from all KCAC football head coaches, personalized team previews for the 2017 football season, question and answer sessions, and opportunities for one-on-one head coach interviews. This year's emcee will be Chet Kuplen from Sports in Kansas.
The event will be streamed live via the KCAC Digital Network starting at 11:30 a.m.
Media members in attendance will be asked to participate in a preseason poll for the projected finish of the 2017 season. Head coaches will also be polled. Both preseason polls will be released to the public during the media day activities.
KCAC Football Media Day 2017 will include the following features for all registered members of the media:
- A meal at the Hotel at Old Town compliments of IMA, Inc. and Dissinger Reed - KCAC Insurance Partner.
- Season outlook speeches by each of the 10 football head coaches with opportunities for media members to participate in Q&A.
- Participation in the KCAC Football Media Preseason Poll.
- Access to all coaches, following the season preview speeches, for individual interviews and/or photo opportunities.
In addition to the many members of the regional and state's working press and electronic news media, football assistant coaches, institutional SIDs, and support personnel from KCAC member institutions will be participating in the media day activities.

Media and fans can submit questions to the coaches of their favorite KCAC teams and possibly have that question answered as part of the Media Day press conference. Questions can be submitted through the official KCAC Facebook account by posting in the comments section of the corresponding post or to the KCAC's Twitter feed using the tag: #KCACFB with a deadline of August 2.
