NORMAN, Okla. - The Bethel College Golf program was one of only five NAIA programs named as receiving the "President's Special Recognition" academic award from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). This comes shortly after it was announced that the golf team was one of 11 squads at Bethel who were NAIA All-Scholar Teams from the 2016-17 school year.

To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year, and as a team hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Bethel earned the "President's Special Recognition" status due to their cumulative GPA being over 3.5.
