NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Football program has officially announced their new class of Thresher recruits for this upcoming fall season. In total, the class currently stands at 39 new faces. 30 of these young men come to Bethel as collegiate freshmen, while nine of them are junior college transfers.

The Threshers while under the lead of Coach Morris Lolar have established successful recruiting pipelines in the "Tornado Belt" of America, bringing in high-motor players from Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. This year is no different, as 29 of the signees hail directly from these three states. Out of the remaining 10 future Threshers, six are from California, two are from Georgia, and one each hail from Louisiana and Florida.

Lolar feels very strongly about the incoming recruits he, Coach Kevin Griffin, and the rest of his coaching staff have been able to bring in for 2017.

"This is a solid group of kids, and by no means are we finished with searching for more to add before the season rolls around," commented Lolar.

"We're building something special here, and I think the community can see that. This will be the first time in recent seasons where we do not have to be dependent on having incoming freshman start right away, before they'd be ready under normal circumstances. If they're talented and show they can start, will they? Sure, but these kids have bought into what our program is about, what Bethel is about, and I am excited to see how they grow around an established core on offense and defense."
