NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Softball program is proud to announce the signing of Jordan Hill, a transfer student from Independence Community College. Hill will come to Bethel as a junior in 2017-18, and is originally from Augusta, Kansas.
Hill is the daughter of James and Jennifer Hill. Hill played her prep softball for the Augusta Orioles, and was also a member of the Kansas Blue Sox club organization. Hill played in 64 games for the Pirates of Independence CC, where she held a .317 on-base percentage. She was used as a utility player, and was able to record 99 putouts and turn eight double plays.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to play at the next level," remarked Hill. "I am excited to become a Thresher softball player and to get the chance to grow as an athlete and become part of such a great program."
Hill is strong academically as well as athletically. She is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and plans on majoring in Graphic Design.
Coach Stacy Middleton had this to say about Hill:
"It's always great to pickup a strong, versatile player from the surrounding area that has some college experience already. Jordan will add some speed and depth to our program along with a postitive attitude. She has a great work ethic and will be a solid addition to our team. We look forward to adding her to our community, campus, and program."
