PRATT, Kan. - The Bethel College Cheer program is proud to announce the signing of Courtney Simpson for the 2017-18 school year. Simpson is a current freshman at Pratt Community College, and is from Johnstown, Colorado.

Simpson is the daughter of Kirk and Pam Simpson. She has a strong foundation in competitive cheer, as she was the head captain at Roosevelt High School her junior and senior years, as well as being named to the same position her freshman year at Pratt CC.

She is just as strong in the classroom, as she has been named to numerous dean's lists, as well as being a current member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors program. Simpson intends to major in psychology during her time at Bethel.

"I'm excited to further my academic and athletic careers at Bethel College and can't wait to see what the future holds. Go Threshres!"

Coach Joseph Gogus had this to say about Simpson:

"I am excited to add Courtney to our team. Her experience coming from a competitve Junior College and her work ethic will be very valuable to our team. I am excited she will be joining the Thresher family."
