STERLING, Kan. - The Bethel College volleyball team opened its 2012 campaign with a victory over Southwestern Christian University today at the Sterling College Invitational.

The Threshers handled the Eagles in three sets (25-13, 25-12, 25-18).  

The Threshers jumped out early in each of the sets and never looked back.  Leading the way for Bethel College was senior Lindsey Chandler.  Chandler recorded a team high 10 kills.  Katie Regier and Jordan Gray each put down seven kills.  Amber Blount recorded 26 assists.

The team hit a .346 hitting percentage and recorded seven aces and 37 digs.
