Kansas City, Kan. - The NAIA released the 2012 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship bracket Tuesday afternoon.  Bethel College earned the No. 21 seed and will face Shorter University (Ga.) who is the No. 12 seed.

The Threshers are making their 4th straight appearance in the national tournament and last faced the Hawks at the 2010 national tournament, losing 0-9.  The Threshers earned the automatic bid by winning the KCAC Women's Tennis Championship on Friday, May 4.  The Threshers defeated Friends University 5-0 in the semifinal match to advance to the finals to face rival Tabor College.  In the finals Bethel College beat Tabor with a 5-0 score to win their 4th straight KCAC Tournament championship.  

Shorter enters the tournament with a 20-8 mark and is making its 10th appearance in the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship their first since 2010.  The Hawks earned the seventh of 12 at-large bids to this year's event and own a 8-9 record all-time in the national tournament.

Bethel College finished the regular season with a 15-5 record.  A win over Shorter would advance the Threshers to the second round to face No. 5 seed Azusa Pacific which earned a first round bye as one of the tournament's top eight seeds.  The Round of 16 begins on Wednesday, May 16 at 9 a.m
