Sedgwick, Kan. - Head softball coach Stacy Middleton and head cheer coach Jill Fenske announced the signing of Chelsea Crowl of Sedgwick High School on April 17.

Crowl plays catcher and 2nd base for her high school team and had a .542 batting average and a .672 slugging percentage her junior year.  Currently she is just above her batting average from her junior year at .546 in her final year of high school.  She was a 2nd team all-league catcher her junior year.

"I am so excited to be a part of two new programs at Bethel!  I can't wait to attend such a fine school."  Crowl said.

Crowl will also be joining the new cheer and dance program next year.  "Bethel cheer is excited to gain another athlete to our squad."  Fenske commented.  "Chelsea brings a positive energy to our upcoming year!"

Crowl chose Bethel College over Cottey College in Missouri and fellow KCAC school Sterling College.

"It's great to have another versatile athlete join our softball team.  She brings energy and depth to our roster along with a coachable attitude."  Middleton said.
