Leavenworth, Kan. - The University of Saint Mary and Bethel College have rescheduled the softball games that were to be played tomorrow, April 14 at 1 and 3 p.m. to Sunday, April 22.
With the high threat of severe weather for tomorrow Bethel College head softball coach Stacy Middleton and Saint Mary head coach Lori Lorenzon decided it would be best to reschedule the games.
"We normally wouldn't schedule a game on a Sunday and the other date given was Friday, April 27," commented Middleton. "But since USM doesn't have lights on their field Sunday was the better option so that our student-athletes wouldn't have to miss an entire day of classes."
The Threshers won their first ever conference game on Wednesday against Southwestern College and were hoping to take that momentum into the games tomorrow. They will just have to wait as they will next play on Tuesday, April 24 at 5 and 7 p.m. at Centennial Park in Newton.
